Art Sale extended

The Friends of the Middletown Public Library has extended October’s art sale of the framed and unframed prints of Middletown native, Joseph Matose.  His pen and ink framed prints are hanging in the lobby, while many unframed prints are also still available.  Stop by the Friends Bookstore or the Circulation Desk to buy some of these fine scenes of our local area.

For information about the Friends or an application, e-mail FriendsofMiddletownRILibrary@gmail.com or pick up an application in the library.

Friends Bookstore

Thanks to years of support of many dedicated community volunteers, the Bookstore has been changed again to “The Friends Bookstore”. Although the founders need to be remembered, without our volunteers the bookstore would not exist.

May 2021 is the 13th anniversary of the Bookstore, having started in 2008 in a cozy little corner of the Library. Today, the store is a vibrant operation that is supplied by donations, staffed by volunteers, and is successful in providing financial support for the programs offered by the Library.

Book Donations: Please contact Lois Murray @ loismurray@cox.net if you are interested in making a Large Book Donation, smaller donations can be left at the circulation desk during the Library’s regular business hours. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept magazines, dictionaries, encyclopedia sets, textbooks, VHS tapes, or cassette tapes.

Bookstore Hours:

  • Monday – Thursday 10:30am to 4:30pm
  • Friday and Saturday 10:30am to 2:30pm
