Events requiring registration will be open for sign-ups beginning June 20th.
Mondays: Family Storytimes at 11am
Storytelling, movement, songs, and more. All ages, no registration required. Every Monday unless otherwise noted or closed.
Tuesdays in July: Galactic Space Crafts at 11am
Ages 4 and up. Pre-registration required. Make a different space themed craft every week. July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30. Get ready to get hands-n in making moon rocks, galaxy jars, and more!
Thursdays in July and August: LEGO Club from 2-4pm
Drop-in to try out our LEGO challenge, build your own LEGO creation, or build with others. All ages; no registration required. We even have Duplo building blocks for the smaller ones.
Saturday, June 8th: Toe Jam Puppet Band in Outer Space at 11am
Kick off the start of our summer reading program, “A Universe of Stories”, with the Toe Jam Puppet Band’s music show “Toe Jam in Outer Space”. All aboard!… Countdown…4-3-2-1-zero… Blast off! … into outer space with the band as they play their new original songs from their new CD, ‘Toe Jam In Outer Space!’ The show features a spacey dress-up puppet show and some crazy anti-gravity dancing! No registration required, best for ages 2 and up.
Thursday, June 27: Solar System Circus at 2pm
Blast into orbit with an exiting and educational show all about the solar system! In this fun and fast-paced circus variety show we will discuss facts about the sun, the planets, orbits, the moon, gravity, light waves, and the vastness of space. Best for ages 4+, no registration required.
Monday, July 1: Mermaid Masterpieces at 2pm
Kids ages 6 and up! Come paint an epic painting with Miss Becky from Mermaid Masterpieces while your parents can relax and read a book for an hour! Miss Becky will lead you through a step by step paint party, you’ll be able to relax, laugh and create while listening to the latest kids hits! Registration required.
Monday, July 8: Fiddle N’ Fun at 1pm
For ages pre-k – 7. No registration required. Fiddle N’ Fun is not your typical early childhood music class. In addition to singing, movement, and other engaging activities, each session includes Suzuki-style instructional routines using simple one-stringed instruments; these Fiddlestix are incredibly fun, durable, and have been proven to prepare young players for learning the violin.
Tuesday, July 16: Rock-a-Baby at 1:30pm
Rock-a-Baby is an interactive music show for infants and toddlers. Grown-ups come along for the class or concert as we introduce the stars of our show – puppets Rhythm, Melody and Harmony. Children experience everything from Beethoven and Bach to rap and rock! The performers include an acoustic guitarist, keyboardist and vocalist.
Wednesday, July 17th: Tween Book Swap and Bingo Pizza Party at 12pm
Ages 9-12, registration required. Bring a book to swap with another tween, and get ready to play B-I-N-G-O, while eating some cheesy pizza.
Saturday, July 20: Henna Your Heart Out at 11am
Ages 10 and up. Pre-registration required. Not an artist? If you can doodle, you can be successful at henna! Or maybe you’d just like to have an experienced henna artist grace your hand with a moon, star, sun or other design. Either way, this class is for YOU!

Wednesday, July 31st: Wizard of Oz Sing-A-Long at 1pm
Travel to a land over the rainbow with Dorothy and her friends! Sing-a-long to your favorite songs while watching this classic movie and enjoying popcorn and refreshments. No registration required. Rated PG.
Thursday, August 1: Lunar Landing Robots at 1pm
Build Lunar Landing Smart Robots with the Rhode Island Computer Museum! This workshop aims to explain and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo Moon Landing. Students will learn basic concepts of robotics and, working in teams, they will learn coding to instruct a simple robot to move in construction challenges. Ages 6-12. Tuesday, August 6: Sunflower Yoga at 1pm
For ages 9 and up, pre-registration required. Relax and stretch your stress away while learning yoga poses.
Friday, August 9th: Rising Sun Jui Jitsu for Kids at 11am
Sensei Dean will teach kids fun, karate-based drills, basic karate moves likes blocks and jump-kicks, and how to show confidence and respect. Some lucky kids will even get to break a real wooden board! No registration required, best for ages 4 and up.
